Wide leather necklace and bracelet jewelry tutorial

Wide leather necklace and bracelet jewelry tutorial

Wide leather necklace and bracelet jewelry tutorial

When you sit down to start making your winter line, you always need to think where or next to what will these items would be.
The cold season forces us to wear warmer and larger clothes, so the jewelry items need to be a little bigger so it will stand out, and will add a nice texture, color and volume to this winter look.

Leather cords are a great option to use when you make new jewelry items because they can bring wonderful colors, warm texture, and nice light weight volume to your creations.

Here is a nice and really easy to make jewelry items using many leather colors in brown, gray, pink and light blue shades.

These new wide brass crimp ends, can hold several cords together very tightly and they look very elegant.

You can open this crimp end a little place the cords inside and then use a good plier tool to press it really hard until it holds the cords firmly.

IMPORTANT TIP: You want the close the crimp end without making scratches on its surface - Use a small piece of leather to protect the metal from any damage the plier tool can easily make.

BRCELETS:
You can make a three layer bracelet with different leather cords, or make a nice braid from the leather cords. Close the bracelet with the crimp ends, and these heart shape clasps can make a nice finish with an extra charm and sparkly Swarovski crystals hanging from the bracelet.

NECKLACE:
This necklace looks very pretty, and it is really so simple to make. There is one snake pattern cord, and a long piece of dark gray suede cord, folded six times, and is twisted with metal gold chain. The crimp end holds all of them together very firmly, so it really is as easy as possible.

You can always use same E6000 glue for jewelry making inside the crimp end to make sure that cords won't come out.
